Positives Review

Anders als "Jennifer´s Body" kürzlich, ist die Horror-Komödie in den USA (trotz "R"-Rating, aber mit vielen starken Reviews im Rücken) ganz gut angelaufen! Freu mich auf den deutschen Kinostart (10.12.)...

Macht wirklich Laune der Film. Der Vorspann ist jetzt schon "iconic". Die relativ kurze Laufzeit kommt dem Film entgegen, die "Rules" sind schön integriert, aber etwas unausgewogen eingesetzt. Woody ist cool, Jesse spielt den Michael Cera und die Mädels sind recht tough. Guter Unterhaltungsfilm mit etwas Gore. Verdiente

Zombieland Sequel in 3D

Variety reports that a Zombieland sequel is being brought to the screen in 3-D by Sony.

"Everyone had fun watching (the first) 'Zombieland'; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better," said the film's producer Gavin Polone. "I don't think you want to see 'Ordinary People' in 3-D. But 'Zombieland' is clearly one movie that will benefit from (the technique)."

Sony has closed deals with Polone and helmer Ruben Fleischer to return for a sequel to the original, which cost $24 million and has earned $85.2 million worldwide to date. The studio is currently in talks with stars Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg to reprise their roles as a pair of post-apocalyptic survivors. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the sequel's screenplay.

Zombieland Heads to the Small Screen

Just a few months ago, Ruben Fleischer, the director of the original Zombieland, told ComingSoon.net that a film sequel wasn't happening anytime soon. Today, The Hollywood Reporter has an update, explaining that a followup to the 2009 comedy hit is, indeed, in the works, but that it's heading for the small screen.

Planned as a half-hour show, "Zombieland" is being developed by Sony Pictures Television and 20th Century Fox and, if it moves forward, will likely replace any big screen sequel. The original writers of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are involved, but the full cast is unlikely to return. Whether that means recasting the same characters or focusing on new ones altogether remains to be seen.

The news breaks after this morning's report of the second season premiere of "The Walking Dead" breaking the all-time basic cable record for viewers. That zombie-themed show achieved an audience of 7.3 million last night.

The original Zombieland, which ended up starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin, was originally being developed as a TV pilot.
